About Dean

As my wife Christine and I prepared to bring a child into Germantown and increase the residents of Germantown by one, we gave considerable thought to the community where we want to raise children. We have called Germantown home for 14 years and know Germantown is a great community to live and raise children.

I grew up in Oxford, Mississippi, where my father was a farmer and my mother was a second grade school teacher.  We literally lived across the street from the fire chief and two houses down from the sheriff.  I naturally have a special place in my heart for our farmers, teachers, police and firefighters, and  I am grateful that as a child I was surrounded by men and women who instilled in me the values of serving the community with honor and integrity.

I am a proud graduate of the University of Mississippi where I received a degree in criminal justice.  Just before graduating, I was recruited by the Police Corps, which was a program created by the Department of Justice to place highly educated and well-trained police officers in areas of our nation experiencing great social need; however, before I left for the academy, my professor convinced me to pursue a career outside of law enforcement because he believed the criminal justice system would be aided by people who carried the values of law enforcement into other fields of work.  I chose a career as an insurance agent, but I have never forgotten my roots in law enforcement and fidelity to the rule of law.

Christine and I have worked in the insurance industry for 14 years, and today we own our business, Massey Insurance, where we provide insurance and risk management services for clients located primarily in Tennessee, Mississippi and Arkansas.  We are grateful that our clients have returned to us as their trusted insurance advisors for many years.  As we evolve, add office locations and serve an ever greater number of clients, we remain privileged to know that our clients trust us to serve their needs.

Just as success in business is based on a sacred trust, the success of government at every level depends on our ability to trust our leaders.  People are fed up with politicians who don’t listen to them, and they are fed up with the corrupt system that benefits the politicians at the expense of the working people.  If we are going to return this nation’s greatness, we have to elect leaders who are willing to follow the rules.

God Bless,

Dean Massey
